Sr. Software Engineer (Mobile Application Development)

Career Summary:

Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in software development
- Strong object oriented programming and design skills
- Demonstrated experience in C, C++ or Objective-C
- Deep experience with Cocoa or other MVC (Model View Controller) frameworks
- A passion for development on Mac OS X
- Practical knowledge of web service technologies: Representational State Transfer (REST), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), Service Orientated Architectures (SOA)
- Interest in bringing leading-edge usable security to mobile platforms
- Expert knowledge of fundamental data structures and algorithms
- Desire and ability to learn new technologies quickly and regularly

Education:
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related field.
Additional desirable experience includes:
- Development experience at the application and user interface level with at least one of the following: Java or Win32 or WindowsCE
- Practical knowledge of Windows software development technologies: Component Object Model (COM), Active Template Library (ATL), Windows Template Library (WTL), .NET Framework
- Practical knowledge of web application technologies: multi-tier web applications and business-layer/model-layer architectures, J2ME, J2EE, HTML, XML, XSLT

Software Quality Assurance Lead Engineer
Voltage Security, Inc, a leading Security software company is looking for a highly motivated and hands on Lead QA Engineer to be responsible for testing and ensuring the quality of its SecureMail Client product set.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 4 or more years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Software Development
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience in a related field
- Extensive experience testing or developing Microsoft Windows applications that have been successfully deployed in production by a significant number of customers
- Solid knowledge of Windows, its workings and applications, shell applications and plug-ins
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must take initiative and demonstrate willingness to effectively learn new skills quickly
- Must be highly motivated, hard working as well as passionate and assertive about product quality
QA Skills
- Strong knowledge of software quality assurance methodologies and strategies
- Capable of being responsible for testing all product functionality, on one or more test platforms, during the QA lifecycle with minimal supervision
- Effective at providing timely and accurate test effort estimations
- Effective at creating tests that allow for maximum strategic customer focused test coverage
- Capable of troubleshooting software test issues
Desired skills and Experience
Functional Knowledge- Experience with email clients and servers such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes, and Lotus Domino Server

Responsibilities will include:
- Be responsible for leading the testing of an entire Voltage SecureMail client product line on one or more test platforms throughout an entire release
- Be primary QA owner of particular functional and design specification reviews to ensure a high quality customer experience
- Provide accurate and detailed QA estimations
- Responsible for creating and executing on integration and interoperability testing strategies
- Create new test suites to assure the quality of new functionality
- Execute regression test suites
- Develop automation of tests within defined standards and guidelines
- Perform internationalization and localization testing
- Review product documentation
- Be responsible for thoroughly reviewing product requirements and technical specifications
- Contribute to the further creation of QA standards and processes
- Work closely with development and rest of test team to see issues through to resolution

Product Manager
Do you see yourself at one of the hottest new companies in Silicon Valley? Do you want to own the Voltage Security product that will ensure that personal identifiable information (PII) such as social security numbers and credit cards are kept safe in the databases of the world’s leading companies? Voltage has invented and patented a way to encrypt PII inside DB2, Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server databases so that it can only be accessed “in the clear” by privileged applications. Uniquely, our Format-Preserving Encryption (FPE) allows unprivileged applications to use the database to do data mining, to develop next-generation corporate applications, for customer service, and to perform quality assurance testing— without exposing the PII. Sounds important, unique, and ground-breaking, doesn’t it?
As the Product Manager for the Voltage SecureData product, you will work along-side the product managers for the other three Voltage Security products.
Responsibilities include:
- Be the company expert on the database security market, target customer needs, and the competitor’s products and business strategies
- Collaborate across departments to define and prioritize the features for all future releases of your product, and publish your product roadmap to the company
- Work closely with development as well as sales, support, finance, and other members of the marketing department to bring industry-shaping, compelling product releases to market
- Create datasheets, case studies, white papers, Powerpoint presentations, and other sales tools such as competitive analyses
- Set the pricing strategy, pricing models, and author the price list for your product
- Ensure that your product meets and exceeds key metrics including revenue, profit, development cost, schedule, and functionality
- Serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product, communicating with sales, support, SEs, channel partners, technology partners, press, analysts, and key customers
Requirements:
- At least 6 years of experience in software product management
- B.A./B.S. with preference for a Computer Science or other technical degrees
- Familiarity with how enterprise software developers think, and what their world is like
- An interest in security technologies is required, but deep experience is not required to succeed
- Familiarity with Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, or other popular databases is preferred
- Familiarity with SOAP Web services, and how to program against them
- The ability to lay out a simple database and to write a program to use it
- Familiarity with agile software development practices, in particular the use of SCRUM
- A track record of demonstrating strong leadership skills and executing on product plans
- Excellent collaboration skills with a wide variety of internal team members
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to analyze and communicate technical issues, lead discussions, and influence decisions
- 7 or more years proven track record in direct sales role
- Complex sales experience, selling to IT, Security and LOB
- Multiple years as top rep and significantly exceeding quota
- Start-up software sales a plus
- Strong technical aptitude
